We examine the ΞQ-Ξ ′ Q mixing and heavy baryon masses in the heavy quark effective theory with the 1/mQ corrections. We argue that in the large Nc HQET, the masses of the s-wave lowspin heavy baryons equal to the heavy quark mass plus proton mass approximately.
